Effortlessly Immerse Yourself in Meditation With Mini Meditation
Meditation has many benefits , from reducing anxiety to increasing concentration, but it is not something you can get started with right away and succeed. If you have tried meditation before and have not been able to grasp it, start over with “mini-meditation” as an easy transition.
Part of meditation is focusing on your breathing and not on the thoughts that are running through your mind, which can be quite difficult. Jesse Singhal, contributing to New York Magazine , explains how putting energy into simple breathing was an easy way for her to make meditation easier in general:
Some of you might be thinking, what’s so innovative about it? Meditation is just breathing! Yes, but for those of us who try meditation but can’t stick to it, one of the problems is that – when it comes to most sound instructions for beginners and so on – we are tasked with doing a few different things at one time. Sit silently. Be “comfortable but considerate.” Concentrate on your breathing. When you have a thought, mark it, but don’t react. Try not to get upset if you are nervous or have any other problems that have lost yourself in meditation.
I wish this medicine would become an entryway into my regular meditation practice, but whether or not it does, I decided that twice a day I would simply count 50 breaths. Try it yourself: start even at ten. Make sure they take good, deep breaths. Do this on the subway, in your car, or in the bathroom, if needed. It helps. After all, breathing is the cornerstone of “real” meditation.
By setting yourself the goal of simply taking a series of deep breaths, you will turn it into something powerful that you can fit into your daily routine without getting frustrated that you cannot “clear your mind” or “watch your thoughts”. what might happen later. … Once you have mastered this mini-meditation, you can try practicing longer meditation sessions that also affect your thoughts and emotions.
