Overpass Country Will Tell You All About the Places You See During Your Flight
iOS / Android: If you’ve ever flown and wondered what exactly you were flying over or past, Flyover Country is the app to help you figure it out. It provides useful information about landmarks and other sites, identifies them, and shares a little history.
When you look through an airplane window, you often see interesting sights, mountains, or other objects, but if you don’t (or don’t want) Wi-Fi during your flight, you won’t be able to Google what you see. In Flyover Country, simply enter the flight and it will offer you a map that you can save for offline use during the flight or to dig up what you went through while in the air. Depending on what you want to know about, you can choose between geological maps, fossil locations, and Wikipedia articles. You can view the map with satellite images, street or terrain views. You can also use Flyover Country to learn more about attractions and other attractions on your hikes and excursions.
