Best Smart TVs to Watch Netflix by Netflix
Netflix has partnered with TV manufacturers to recommend smart TVs based on their movie streaming performance and other features. If you are looking to buy a Netflix compatible TV this year, check out the Netflix Recommended TVs.
To be ranked as a recommended Netflix TV, a smart TV must meet at least 5 of the following 7 criteria:
- Instant TV on
- TV resume
- Latest version of Netflix
- Launching the Fast Netflix app
- Fast video resume
- Dedicated Netflix button on the remote
- Easy access to Netflix on-screen icons
Only two TV brands were rated by Netflix in 2016: LG and Sony. These are specific models:
- 2016 4K UHD TVs with webOS 3.0 UH6300 Series | UH6500 Series | UH7500 Series | UH8500 Series | UH9500 Series | G6 series
- 2016 X85D Series 4K UHD Android TVs | X93D series | X94D series
Of course, you probably want to consider many other things when choosing a TV besides how easy it is to get to Netflix. But if you spend a lot of time watching Netflix (as many of us did this weekend ), that’s one thing to consider.
