Corner Workspace With Monitor
Dan, also known as HiTechTLS , lives at this corner table in his tiny apartment that really has everything you need. He not only has six monitors, but only one computer. Here’s how to install it.
The above image pretty much shows the surface of its desk and its displays, but below you can see its angled setup unfolded. It uses the NVidia Quadro series of graphics cards with multi-monitor support, of course, which means it uses those displays to view things and control multiple windows and applications, not necessarily 3D graphics. He’s also a little fond of the projector, and there are several in that closet on the left, although he only has one setup to use against the screen he has above the windows on the other side of the apartment.
If you’re wondering which computer is used for all this, here’s what it has to say:
Entire workstation with desktop PC, 6 monitors, 2 sound cards, mixer, 5.2 stereo system, projector, laser and UPS.
HP Z400 Tower Intel Xeon W3565 CPU 2x Nvidia Quadro 4000 1x Nvidia Quadro 2000 24 GB DDR3-1333 RAM Samsung 850 Pro SSD 2x Hitachi HDS72101 HD with retrofit cooling
In a comment below, he explains that by “5.2” he actually means he has an extra woofer in the mix. You can read more about this – and the rest of its customization – at the link below. In addition to the corner workspace, the rest of his apartment is worth taking a look at, though we won’t be cramming all the photos in here. Look at this one of the rest of the apartment and at the same view with the projector screen facing down . This is a glamorous shot of a server rack he uses to house equipment in his home entertainment center, which looks pretty cute in and of itself .
If you have your own workspace to show off, share it with us by adding it to our Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Flickr pool . Make sure all photos you add are at least 1280×720 in size. Maintaining their 16: 9 aspect ratio also helps! Include a little text about what you used, how you came up with the design, and any other important details. If your smart organization and good design flair are striking, you could be the next workplace ambassador!
