Make a Giant Soda Jelly With Duct Tape

You might not really want a giant bubble gum that looks exactly like a bottle of Coca-Cola, but you can’t deny it’s a fun visual joke. This is also not so difficult to do. All you need is gelatinous foods, a bottle of Coca-Cola, and duct tape.

The process is fully explained in the video above, but you need to take a bottle of cola and pour it into a bowl. Then carefully peel off the label, being careful not to tear it, and set it aside. Using an Exacto knife, cut through the side of the bottle and seal it with duct tape.

Then mix eight bags of plain gelatin in one hundred milliliters of water. When it looks like mashed potatoes, microwave it for a minute. Add the gelatin to the soda bowl and stir. Pour the mixture into a bottle and refrigerate for about an hour. Peel off the duct tape and use the cut you made earlier as the entry point for the scissors to cut the plastic. Close the label and cap and admire how much this gum actually looks like a cola bottle.

It can be fun to try with kids (an adult handling sharp objects), but it also makes for a fun giant jelly shot. This will change the texture of the jelly, but since you are using too much gelatin, you can substitute alcohol for half of the baking soda.
