Google Docs Introduces Automatic Outline Generation Tool for Fast Document Review
Google today launched a new outline tool for Google Docs that makes it much easier to navigate your documents on the web or on your Android device.
The update, which is now published, displays a new pane on the side of the browser, allowing you to jump to a specific section of any document with a single click. On Android devices, start scrolling through the document and you will see a small navigation marker. When you click on it, you will see the entire structure of the document structure, so you can jump to any section you like. If you are viewing a lot of documents on your phone or tablet, it speeds up scanning significantly faster.
Unless you manually add titles to your document, automatic contouring will do it for you, and you can still use this tool. And if you don’t like the headings selected by the tool, you can edit or remove the headings as needed. It is not yet known when this feature will hit iOS.
