OS X: Write! , a beautiful writing tool (formerly for Windows only), now has a Mac version that brings all of its best features, including autosave, cloud document sync, offline editing, day and night editing. themes, unlimited undo and more.
Everything that made you write! great for Windows, available on Mac. Even offline, write! automatically saves everything you do and lets you undo any number of times, even on different computers. If you pick up where you left off on your Windows PC, you can undo the last thing you did – or the last ten actions – that you did on your Mac. The app has smarter autocomplete that can suggest words based on your typing history, supports Markdown , Wiki and Textile syntax if you like, and can be configured to work in a thin, tabbed interface without a menu, or in another Word. -Like user interface with rich menus depending on what you prefer.
In addition to basic editing functions, Write! also allows you to post documents directly to social media or email them privately from the app. It even has a high focus mode in which it darkens everything, including other paragraphs in the document, so you’re focusing on what you’re writing right now.
Write! is free and most of its features are free, but many (like cloud save and unlimited cancellation) are only free for a trial period after signing up. After that, if you need them (and you don’t need them to use the app, but they are useful), you will need to sign up for a Pro account ($ 5 per month).
