Aldi Stores Now Accept Credit Cards
For a while, Aldi has been a favorite with thrifty buyers. Its business model is simple, the company advertises little, and most of the products in its stores are in-house products. Also, until recently, they only accepted cash and debit. But this week they announced that they will accept credit cards too.
In their press release:
ALDI, one of America’s three most popular grocery stores *, will now accept credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, in all of its stores nationwide. This step is another way that ALDI makes grocery shopping as easy and enjoyable as possible for over 30 million customers every month. “As ALDI continues to evolve, expanding its product lines and entering new markets, our way of doing business will also evolve,” said Jason Hart, CEO of ALDI. “We make sure that our customers can make purchases easier and better every time they come to us; and offering them the convenience of using their credit cards will help us do that. “
Aldi started out in Germany and was popular in Europe for a while. They have recently gained popularity in the States, where there are about 1,500 locations. By 2018, the company plans to expand to 2,000 stores, all of which will work with credit cards. If you need more information, you can download the release from the link below.
