Chrome Dev on Android Can Add Articles You Might Like to New Tab Page
Android: A new tab in Chrome may not be where you expect the suggested articles to be, but Google is experimenting with them anyway. You can enable this hidden feature in the dev version of Chrome for Android with a simple checkbox.
As Android Police points out, the developer version of Chrome has a hidden flag at the following URL:
chrome://flags/#enable-ntp-snippets
When you enable this feature, Google will post suggested articles on your new tab page along with the snippets of articles you see. It’s not clear where Google gets the suggestions from. However, if a Google Now feature like this is any indication, it is most likely compiled based on your browsing history if you have Google tracking features turned on.
