Musician’s Paradise Workspace

Reader Jason Burns is a musician and works a lot in his home studio. We’ve seen a bunch of studio workspaces, but it uses space very efficiently, holds a ton of equipment and makes it obvious that Jason is alive and breathing his music.

The snapshot at the top of the article is his recording station, where he writes music and records and edits right on his computer. He noted that he didn’t want his computer to take up a lot of space on his desk, so the Mac Pro and the RAID array he has for storage are installed under his desk, which you can see here . Below you can see his more relaxed workspace with the Evo Sit / Stand, which he can adjust depending on how he likes to work. There is a Macbook Pro on the left and an external display in the center. The bookshelf on the left is filled with toys, games, and other inspirations that we can appreciate wherever you work and live.

Here’s another view of his seating / standing workspace below, right up so you can see the raised table.

Finally, a snapshot of the entire space combined. If it’s not obvious yet due to the use of the space, this is more than just a workplace or office – Jason lives here too, and it shows. He notes that it took him several months to get things set up, but I can imagine that it took months to hang the guitars on the walls and set up the entertainment center. All in all, this is a great view.

If you have your own workspace to show off, share it with us by adding it to our Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Flickr pool . Make sure all photos you add are at least 1280×720 in size. Maintaining their 16: 9 aspect ratio also helps! Include a little text about what you used, how you came up with the design, and any other important details. If your smart organization and good design flair are striking, you could be the next workplace ambassador!
