Chicken Salt Is an Australian Seasoning Worth Adding to Everything
You guys already know that flavored salt is a great way to add flavor to your food, but chicken salt can take things to a whole new level.
I’ve never heard of it before, but it seems to be found all over Australia and sounds like the best savory condiment. To make the chicken salt, sauté the skins in a hotel skillet at 350F until they are brown and fried. Strain the fat and simmer the skins in the broth until they are completely reduced, then dehydrate the skins. (You can put them in a dehydrator overnight or in an oven for four hours at the lowest possible temperature.)
After the skins are dry and turned into concentrated, flavorful chips, toss them in a food processor with salt and pepper, mushroom powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
