Build a Twitter-Based Home Automation System With a Raspberry Pi

There are all sorts of Raspberry Pi-based home automation systems out there , but the ARM tutorials showcase a fairly simple project that is based on Twitter.

The Pi is hardwired into a home automation board that controls fan, light, AC, and temperature. It is then driven by direct Twitter messages, so it is very easy to check the status or toggle the switch on any of the connected devices. The Twitter link is a pretty handy way to get around some of the coding requirements that would otherwise be required here, so it’s worth taking a look at how it is done here if you’re building your own home automation controller. Go to the ARM guides for a guide.
