Reduce the Size of Your Raspberry Pi by Removing a Ton of Components
The Raspberry Pi Zero may be the smallest of them all , but you can also downsize a Pi 2 or Pi 3 quite easily if you need that extra processor but not the components. The node shows how to do this.
The Node sizing guide is actually squeezed into the previously mentioned Nintendo DS-sized Linux portable machine project, but the idea of removing the components is worth mentioning here in and of itself. It extracts USB connectors, Ethernet port, GPIO pins, camera connectors, A / V connector, and HDMI port. Everything that he could not remove, he simply chopped off with a mini-hacksaw. In this project, many of these components were hacked with cables, but this is only needed if you need them. The idea is similar to the simplified Pi we saw earlier , but much more extreme. You will find a little more information in the imgur post.
