What’s New on Netflix in August 2021
We really don’t have action stars these days – at least not like the 80s and 90s. Who gave birth to Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sly Stallone? No one comes to mind other than lower-tier (and certainly smaller budget) actors like Jason Statham and somehow Liam Neeson, and Netflix seems to be looking to add another one to its lineup as Jason. Momoa with the release of Sweet Girl. (23 August) .Speaking from Neeson, the film seems to be quite a lot in Taken form, albeit replaced by evil pharmaceutical companies for evil human traffickers. Momoa plays a husband and father, whose life begins to crumble after the death of his wife due to the bad faith of a large pharmaceutical company. He becomes determined to take revenge and is forced to resort to violence when his daughter’s life is in danger. (You see, he has a specific skill set.)
On the softer side of Netflix Films’ release schedule, there are a couple of romantic teen comics: The Kissing Booth 3 (Aug 11), the exciting conclusion to The Booth Saga (possibly); and He’s All That (August 27), a remake of the opposite sex of Rachel Leigh Cook’s semiclassical ’90s film She’s All That. In addition, the streamer is tossing a coin to fans of The Witcher who can’t wait for the premiere of the second season – the animated series in the style of the anime “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf” (23 August) should help you reach the flagship. the series will be released later this year.
That’s all for the rest of Netflix coming (and going) in August 2021.
