Aware for Mac Tells You How Long You Work so You Can Take Breaks

Macintosh: Taking regular breaks is critical not only to your well-being, but to your work as well. There are many apps that remind you to get up from your computer from time to time , but Aware is a little different in that it simply tells you how long you have been working.

The free Mac app keeps track of how long you use your computer in hours and minutes. It’s in the menu bar and appears as a small icon like battery power, so you can just look up and see how much time has passed. Through the site:

Aware shows how long you have been using your computer in hours and minutes. It knows this because it detects your mouse movements and keystrokes on your keyboard. After a short period of inactivity (timeout), Aware pauses the timer, then resets it and starts again when new activity is detected. There is no assumption as to what you do with this information. No pop-ups or alarms prompting you to take a break, just a time entry tracked in your menu bar for easy access.

The app is similar to the previously mentioned awareness . However, it doesn’t send you any timed reminders and it’s free.

The app is useful if you’re not good at handling alerts or just wondering how long you neglected the breaks. Of course, you can just calculate the time, but it will happen automatically and it will be much easier to keep track of it. Check out the app yourself at the link below.
