Clean and Disinfect the Dish Brush With a Vinegar and Soap Bath
Most dishwasher brushes are dishwasher safe, but if you have a wooden one or don’t have a dishwasher, this simple trick will help you clean it.
If your brush is dishwasher safe, you can sit quietly on the top shelf. Just run it with hot water and a heated dryer. If you can’t throw it in the dishwasher, The Kitchn’s Jolene Furst suggests a mixture of vinegar and dishwasher soap. Remove bits of food from the brush, pour one cup of white distilled vinegar into a glass, then add a few drops of liquid soap. Stick the brush into the glass, stir and let sit for about an hour. Let it dry, you will have a clean dish brush ready to go.
