Quick and Easy Preparation of Stuffed Omelets in a Panini Press

The omelets are delicious, and if you have a panini press (or even a waffle iron) handy, you can use it to make omelets quickly and easily.

Heat a panini press and lightly brush with oil to prevent the omelet from sticking. When it’s nice and hot, pour the omelet onto the press. The key is to start at the top, close to where the top and bottom of the abs meet. Do not pour the mixture all the way to the bottom of the press: you must leave room for drainage. Collect any excess dripping eggs in the chute and close the press to cook the omelet evenly on both sides. When it’s done, roll it off the press and onto a plate.

If you want to stuff it with something like cheese, sprinkle it with cheese on top while the omelet is hot. When you roll the omelet off the press, the cheese will stick inside and turn into a sticky mass. While not like a traditional omelette, you’ll get quick and tasty results with minimal clutter, and it’s much easier to roll (especially stuffed with delicious cheese or other fillings) than in a skillet.
