Fry Dry Pasta Before Cooking to Add Extra Flavor

If plain pasta is no longer for you, frying the dried noodles before cooking will add even more flavor.

Annie Crabill of Food52 invites you to take some dry pasta noodles and bake them in the oven. Place the pasta on a baking sheet or baking sheet and place in 350 ° F oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the pasta is dark golden brown. When done, let it cool down. You can cook with it as soon as it’s ready, or put it in a plastic bag filled with water for rehydration. If you do cook with it right away, it will take a little longer to achieve a good al dente state (maximum 15 minutes or so). The flavor will be nutty and toasty, so any simple sauces that aren’t overly strong will pair perfectly. The less complex the sauce, the better. They are also ideal for soups and broths, which tend to turn the noodles into gruel much faster.
