Here Are the Best Times and Durations to Schedule an Interview.
According to a new survey of more than 2,200 CFOs from various companies, the timing of an interview can affect your chances of getting an offer. Morning is generally considered the best time, and you have a short time to make a good impression.
Three out of five CFOs said the best time to conduct a hiring interview is between 9 am and 11 am, so if possible, ditch the idea of your lunch break or interview after lunch. Not everyone will have a say on the schedule, but if asked for a preference, make it your slot. In fact, previous research suggests that Tuesday at 10:30 am is the best time for an interview .
In addition, 60% of the CFOs surveyed also said that you will have a maximum of 15 minutes to make a good impression. In fact, most of them will give you less than 10 minutes, so try to light up early.
The first impression begins with the first handshake. What you wear, your behavior, and your body language are details that interviewers evaluate during the first few minutes of meeting someone.
You should probably brush up on what body language mistakes to avoid , and even prepare some good stories to answer the inevitable first question, “Tell me about yourself.”
