Convert Your IKEA Changing Table Into a Stylish, Affordable Bar Cart
Bar carts are space-saving and keep your entire supply of drinks close at hand, but can be expensive if you find a good one. This user-friendly wallet is fully customizable and affordable. All it takes is a trip to IKEA and some merchandise.
At a minimum, you need an IKEA SNIGLAR changing table ($ 35) and some paint. You will probably need a few other items as well, depending on how you want to personalize the cart: some casters so the cart can move more easily is one option, and a few drawers as handles would be a nice upgrade. You may also need drawer liners or colorful tiles, for example, for the top of a trolley.
Once you’ve stacked everything up, add your booze collection, but don’t load the cart too much or it will be difficult to move around if you need to and need space to store glassware and dispense drinks. The video above has some ideas (and a light-hearted demo) for styling the cart, but this project is pretty straightforward if you put together a changing table.
