Use Kitchen Tongs to Open a Beer Bottle As a Last Resort
We’ve all seen this nightmare unfold: you’re at a party, maybe in an unfamiliar house. Everyone drinks wine, and you just want to open a bottle of beer. Somehow there is no bottle opener. Don’t worry: just grab a kitchen tong.
Simply place the cap between the inside of the handles of the plier, pressing it against these little tabs, and gently pry up to remove the annoying cap. Enjoy your beer enthusiastically, take another one and repeat. (If you can’t find the tongs at the party you’re at, just come and find me. I have a bottle opener on a key chain.)
