Flo Music Lets You Create Collaborative Playlists With Spotify and SoundCloud
Flo Music on iOS lets you sync nearby phones so you can create the perfect live party playlist using songs from your Spotify, SoundCloud or iTunes music library.
Flo Musicwas announced last year , but the app finally launched today, giving you and nine of your friends the opportunity to collaborate on a master playlist from wherever you are. Flo Music works even if you don’t have Wi-Fi access. The app creates its own internal hotspot so you can create playlists on the beach, in the cabin, or off the beaten path while driving. All you have to do is connect your Spotify Premium or SoundCloud streaming account and decide who will be the host. Then anyone can join and share their streaming music or iTunes songs that they have saved on their device. If you have a dedicated speaker, the host can launch the playlist in “dock mode,” and all of the music you choose will play through that device like a jukebox. However, if you use “sync mode”, the music plays on all devices (up to 10). This is a good option if you need extra volume or want everyone to be able to hear music in different parts of the house. The app is currently only available for iOS, but an Android version is in development. You can download Flo Music from the iOS App Store for free from the link below.
