Opera Adds Ad Blocking to Stable Desktop and Android Browsers
Windows / Mac / Linux / Android: A couple of months ago Opera started testing built-in ad blocking in its desktop browser. The company is now rolling out the feature to everyone, including Android.
By default, the ad blocker is disabled, but you can enable it in just a couple of clicks in your browser settings. Once enabled, Opera will block all ads. The company claims that by integrating an ad blocker into the browser itself, rather than as an extension, you can get even greater speed gains than you would otherwise. The browser also allows you to add exclusions so that you can whitelist ads for sites you like and want to support.
