Autoplay Goes to YouTube on Android, Here’s How to Turn It Off

Android: Google is rolling out a new version of YouTube for Android that adds a familiar, annoying feature : It will now automatically play the next linked video when the current one ends. Here’s how to turn it off.

Although this feature is not very popular (at least from the point of view of our readers), Google is bringing the autoplay feature from the desktop. If enabled, YouTube will automatically play the most popular related videos from Google Suggestions.

Fortunately, Google has made disabling this feature more obvious on Android. A radio button should appear right below the Subscribe button for whatever channel you’re currently watching. It should remain disabled forever after you turn it off, but as some users with the desktop version have reported, it doesn’t always stay.
