Using data gathered from the open API Yelps, the bus and train travel booking site Wanderu figured out which cities have the most variety of bars, clubs, and more.The top ten cities (pictured above) include several places you expect, such as Los -Angeles and New York, but there are a few surprises too. Looks like Denver, Houston, Tampa and San Diego know how to have fun with the best of them. But it’s not just about bars and clubs. The data also includes beer gardens, country dance halls, jazz and blues establishments, music venues, billiards and karaoke rooms where you can sing heartily.
Vanderu also collected data to determine the best party spots specifically for the LGBTQ community, die-hard sports enthusiasts, karaoke lovers, or anyone who just wants to dance the night away. Just because your city isn’t on the list doesn’t mean it can’t throw a good party. It just means there aren’t many amenities and nightlife spots in the city. Plus, a good party can be anywhere.
