Speed up Your Cleaning Process by Choosing and Staying in a Room
Cleaning your home is easy, especially when you are short on time. If you want to make cleaning easier, you need to choose a room and stay in it until it’s complete.
As you clean up and clean up the clutter, you may feel the urge to leave the room and put things back. But as Taryn Williford of Apartment Therapy explains, you’d better isolate yourself in the disaster zone:
… don’t take it away. It seems counterintuitive, but if you go to the bedroom to clean up, you can start getting better upstairs. Instead, leave your belongings at the bottom of the stairs (or at the entrance to the hallway, or somewhere else) and continue your task.
If you have guests on the way, focus on keeping your living room and kitchen clean. Don’t let yourself leave these rooms until you’ve done everything you can do without leaving, and then go clean everything at once. You will save a lot of time and effort .
