Watch These Sports If the Olympics Get Canceled
With the resurgence of COVID-19 in Tokyo, the Olympics are currently falling apart at the seams, including a statement Thursday by Japanese Olympic Minister Tamayo Marukawa that the Games will be fan-free. It sounds too depressing to watch the world’s most prestigious sporting events take place in abandoned venues, take note: there are many sporting events in the world in July that won’t be as dull as the lifeless Olympic Games.
Part of your summer plans was to sit in an air-conditioned room and watch sports, and you can still achieve this without tuning in for the Olympics, which nobody really wants .
What sports, besides the Olympics, are there this summer?
Even with the grim prospects that darken the Olympics, there is a lot going on in the sports universe that grabs your attention. For starters, there is rugby, football, racing, golf and good old summer baseball.

If you like a different kind of football (or at least a sport that is somewhat similar to what we call football), you can visit the Rugby Union this summer.

Football creates a sports drama that some believe destroys the drama of the Olympic Games. Luckily, you still have time to watch the finals of two major international tournaments play out. - UEFA European Football Championship Final: The match between England and Italy will take place on Sunday 11 July and will be broadcast live on ESPN. You can also stream through the ESPN app and ESPN Plus.
- America’s Cup Final: Brazil and Argentina vie to win in South America on Saturday 10 July and you can watch it on FOX, FS1, FS2. You can also stream on FuboTV.
