Force Yourself to Eat Heart-Healthy Nuts by Making Them Taste Like Pizza

The nuts themselves are pretty good, but if a handful of raw almonds makes you bored, consider giving them a pizza flavor.

To turn plain boring nuts into pizza nuts, you need olive oil, tomato paste, parmesan cheese, and a whole bunch of spices. (Food 52 recommends basil, oregano, fennel, paprika and crushed red peppers, as well as garlic and onion powder, but feel free to play here.) The nuts are mixed with butter and paste, and roasted at 275F for about 15 minutes. , then add a mixture of cheese and all those delicious spices, and some croutons if you like.

If you’re one of those people who have no problem keeping a balanced diet full of nuts, berries and greens, you probably don’t need to “fool” yourself into making yourself eat healthier foods, but I’m a bit of a trash person and I need all possible help, so this recipe is quite applicable in my life.
