Pomodoro Time Is a Super Simple Timer That Lives on the Menu Bar
macOS: There are tons of Pomodoro timers to choose from, but I love apps that disappear when you don’t need them and are a click away when you do. With that in mind, Pomodoro Time lets you schedule your tasks and manage your to-do list right from the menu bar.
The Pomodoro Technique is a simple method of focusing attention on your tasks for short periods of time; you usually set a timer and work 25 minutes without distraction and then take a break. So Pomodoro Time works exactly as you’d expect: you set the timer to the interval you want and let it run while you work, and at the end you get an alarm to stop working. It also includes a simple to-do list that accompanies your Pomodoro bursts, and you can also specify the length of breaks you want to take between your tasks. It also has an additional chronometer sound effect – like a ticking clock in the background – which you may find funny or disturbing.
The free version has a small ad banner, but you can pay $ 4.99 to upgrade to Pro.
