Repair a Dirty Scratched Disc With a Little Forehead Lubricant
If you have a CD or DVD that won’t play due to dust and scratches, a little forehead lubricant will make it work again. This is your head now.
In this video, youtuber Viva Frei shows you how you can fix a scratched DVD, CD or other disc with your own natural leather oils. Start by taking a napkin, roll it up and rip it in half so that you can hold both ends side by side in one hand, like a paintbrush. Now rub the dirty, scratched surface of the disc against your oily forehead and use a homemade tissue brush to dab the grease on the disc to clean it up. The oils from your skin will help clean up dirt and temporarily fill in scratches on the surface of the disc. You can do the same with other oils, some petrolatum and peanut butter , but this trick works well enough if you don’t have anything else on hand.
