Convert an Old Button to a Decorated Hair Rubber
If you have an extra pretty decorative button (or find it at a thrift store or garage sale), you can turn it into a fashionable pretty hair rubber in just a few seconds. Here’s how.
Use a regular elastic hair tie – preferably one that goes through the hole in the decorative button. Buttons with a loop at the back are best for this, rather than the traditional four-hole buttons. Pull the tie through the hole, thread the other end of the elastic through the tie, and tighten so that the remaining loop is large enough to hold your hair. Then tuck your hair back as usual, just make sure the jewelry is on the outside so you can see it from the back. The video above provides a quick demonstration of how this is done.
