Pokémon Go Saves IPhone Battery Again by Letting You Change Your Nickname
It’s no secret that Pokémon Go ruins your battery , which is why developer Niantic pulled the battery saver feature out of the iOS version last week. Fortunately, he is now back, along with the option to change his nickname. There is also a new feature nearby that is being tested for a small group of users.
The big news here is the return of the battery saver feature to the iPhone. To use it, you need to enable it by tapping Pokeball> Settings> Battery Saver. Then turn your phone upside down when you play. This causes the screen to dim and when you walk around the room, your phone buzzes when you are near a Pokémon. The update also includes an experimental feature that shows you which Pokéstop to jump to if you’re looking for a specific Pokémon, although it only seems to be rolling out to a small group of users .
Finally, the update also allows you to change your name once (and only once), so if you’re upset about calling yourself “This is stupid, why am I playing this” three weeks ago, you can finally change it ( it’s the same in android app ). To do this, tap Pokéball> Settings> Change nickname.
