Make the Perfect One-Handed Road Trip Sandwich
I would never advise you to eat while driving, but Tyler Kord (author of The Super Grieving Sandwich Book ) created the perfect travel sandwich and is equally good to eat while multitasking.
Such a sandwich must meet two criteria. It must be held in one hand and can be left at room temperature for a while. The “recipe” for such a sandwich turns out to be quite simple. You just need a slice of cheesy pizza and a couple of slices of ham, maybe some mustard and onions if you like. To wrap your sandwich, simply place the filling on top of a slice, place a paper towel underneath it to tidy up the food, and place it all in a resealable freezer bag until you’re ready to snack.
If you doubt this is a “sandwich” – and I know at least 75% of you will – perhaps reimagine it as a “yummy pizza roll” or something. Whatever you call it, this is a delicious, super-portable combination of bread, cheese, and meat to eat on the go.
