Make a Scrumptious Focaccia at Home With Store-Bought Pizza Dough
You can buy pizza dough at the grocery store, but that doesn’t mean you have to make a pizza out of it. Lucky Peach has many great uses for store-bought pizza dough, but one of my favorites is homemade focaccia, which looks absolutely incredible.
However, making it is easy enough – just grab some pizza dough the next time you go to the grocery store, and instead of spreading it out and sprinkling it with sauce and your favorite pizza toppings, spread it out on a baking sheet and:
Place the dough in a well-oiled baking dish and drizzle with more olive oil. A generous pouring of olive oil is the key to great focaccia. Season with kosher salt and some fresh rosemary leaves. Bake at 450 ° F for about 20 minutes until brown. Serve as is or use to make sandwiches.
Simple and easy – and if you want your food to be a little more crispy, keep it in the oven for a little longer. It’s up to you. You can also mix the flavors if you like, you can add some balsamic vinegar instead of rosemary, or some cooked onions and butter, or even chop the olives while baking. It’s up to you.
