Rest of the Day: T-Mobile Warns Users Not to Install IOS 10 Yet
Some T-Mobile customers are experiencing connectivity issues after installing iOS 10 on certain iPhones, so they recommend that customers simply postpone the installation of the new OS until the fix is fixed. About this and much more in today’s news.
- T-Mobile customers who have updated to iOS 10 on iPhone 6, 6 Plus, and SE are reported to be having trouble maintaining a connection to their cellular network. The only solution if the connection is lost is to restart the phone. Apple is aware of the bug and is committed to fixing it within 48 hours. [The Verge]
- SwiftKey is now powered by neural networks. What does it mean? They say the typing guidelines will be better because the neural network better understands the relationships and similarities between words. Since my humble brain – a one-man network – doesn’t understand what neural networks are, here’s a video explaining how it should improve the keyboard:
- The finalized version of macOS Sierra Gold Master is now available to beta testers. Otherwise, it will be released to the public next week, September 20th. This build has been updated with the Gold Master released to developers last week; it is now a little more golden. [9to5Mac]
- Microsoft has returned to browser battery tests again. This time they are testing the latest versions of Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Opera on the Surface Book with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
