Join the Chromecast Previewer to Access New Features First
The Chromecast is a little device miracle that gets better over time . If you want to be the first to try out the new features of Chromecast, Google has created a preview program just for you.
Chromecast Previewer lets interested users try new features before anyone else. Google says this is not “beta” as it wants all of the preview features to be as close to production as possible, but still, you can probably safely expect a few bumps to get in the way if you sign up. To join the program, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Cast app on your device.
- Go to the “Devices” tab.
- Press the menu button on the device you want to register.
- Tap Device Settings.
- Click Preview Program.
- Click “Join the Program” (Optional: Turn off email updates if you don’t want to be harassed.)
- Click OK.
Everything is ready! Google is not currently releasing any new features to try out Chromecast users, but since Chromecast updates often appear in the fall, we may be hearing something new soon.
