All Ways to Make a Red Traffic Light Turn Green
Before you pass a red light because it’s been five minutes and you’re already on fire , there are several ways to get the light green. This video shows you how to do it.
Depending on the technology used at the intersection you are waiting for, the light may be on by a timer (in which case you cannot do anything), or it may use different sensors. Some use motion detection cameras. If you spot a small black camera on a pole overlooking an intersection, flip the car slightly so the camera can see what you are waiting for.
Induction loops in the ground are also common. You can see them in the thin rectangular grooves in front of the intersection. They detect metal in your car using magnetic fields. Ideally, you should be in the center of these sensors in order to trigger them effectively. If you’re on a small vehicle such as a motorcycle, you can try lowering the kickstand as a last-ditch effort to bring a little more metal into the loop, or try attaching a magnet to the bottom of the bike .
