Lightroom on IOS Now Lets You Take DNG RAW Photos

Adobe Lightroom Mobile 2.5 for iOS can now shoot high quality Digital Negative (DNG) photos with its built-in camera. Your iPhone and iPad photos will be much better.

Lightroom has been able to edit RAW photos for some time now , but it is the first iOS app to natively record DNG RAW photos. The photos you shoot with your Lightroom camera will allow you to adjust the white balance when you publish without compromising on quality, and each photo will have access to all the color and tonal information from your camera’s sensor, which is usually reset when shooting in JPEG format. You will also notice a huge leap in detail as there are fewer compression artifacts and sharper highlights and shadows. If you want to shoot in DNG, you’ll need iOS 10 on an iPhone or iPad with a 12MP camera sensor. You can find out more here in Adobe’s announcement and download Lightroom Mobile for free on the iOS App Store from the link below. Earlier this year, Lightroom 2.0 for Android also made DNG capture possible for some phones.
