Get Crunchy Delicious Cheese Outside of the Omelet
I know an omelet does not technically have to contain cheese to be an omelet, but I don’t know why you would want to eat it without it (lactose intolerance excluded). “The more cheese the better” is my motto and that’s why I am very obsessed with the “inside out parmela” in the video above.
Essentially, this Food Wishes delicacy is a slightly obscene child of the love of freeco and eggs, with crispy toasted Parmesan on the outside. Watch the video for detailed instructions, but basically you grind a bunch of perfume and put it in a non-stick skillet. Let it start to brown and only when it starts to get golden, carefully pour the beaten eggs on top. Cover and simmer until eggs are set. At this point, the video instructs you to go ahead and fold the parmelet on its own, but I would probably add another, contrasting cheese in there – maybe a little jack cheese or even American cheese – for maximum dampness.
