When Choosing a Gym, Make Location Your Top Priority.
Some gyms are better than others. They may have better deals, a better membership price, or more extras to make the deal even more enjoyable. But it doesn’t matter if it’s so far away from you that you will never leave.
You’re likely to come across loads of great-looking gyms as you shop, but as Apartment Therapy’s Brittney Morgan explains, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t focus on location first. The ideal gym is one that fits into your busy schedule. It should be close to your normal daily activities, or between your home and where you work. Even if a gym is close to you, it will be difficult for you to justify your membership if you have to struggle to get there – even if only a little. Remember that the gym member who pays his fees and never shows up is a client of the gym. Don’t be that kind of person. Find a place that you can easily reach and go with it. Regular exercise is already a motivational challenge, so don’t make it harder than you need to.
