The Rest of the Day: Steam Halloween Sale
Steam continues its tradition of offering seasonal discounts on a wide variety of games, and today they list dozens of horror games on sale in time for Halloween.

- After adding Halloween-themed face filters to live videos yesterday, Facebook is adding even more face filter options to take advantage of one of Snapchat’s most popular features. It’s very similar to how they work on Snapchat: just activate the camera and choose one of several silly faces. In the past, their food bars were the culprit , and now stories of people getting sick from power outages are emerging. - New York has passed legislation protecting freelancers from wage theft. The freelance law is not free, requiring employers to pay freelancers within 30 days or they will have to deal with fines. As any professional freelancer knows, it is common to find fault with clients about late payments. [Gothamist]
