Create a Retro Multi-System Game Controller That Works With the NES, SNES, Genesis, and Atari
Many of us may prefer to use official controllers for retro gaming, but not everyone wants to have tons of different controllers. Ben Heck decided to make a universal controller.
There is a lot going on here, including the 3D printed case, many different parts inside, and the Wi-Fi module. He also makes custom receivers that connect to Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis, and Atari. It all works by essentially emulating each type of controller inside the DIY controller itself. As is often the case with Heck builds, it has been slightly rebuilt, but is still a solid blueprint for anyone looking to build their own controller.
