Pacific Midday Looks New and With Unlimited Passes, Still Delivers Free Weekly Playlists to Your Phone
Android: Noon Pacific is one of our favorite music services . Every week, you get fresh, new music in a carefully curated playlist delivered straight to your phone or inbox. Its Android app also received a huge update recently, which is well worth taking a look at.
Previously, the Noon Pacific Android app was great, but with caveats . You couldn’t skip tracks, you couldn’t easily share certain tracks, you had to play every playlist from the beginning, and that also cost a couple of dollars. Now all of this is gone – you can play any specific track, skip as much as you want, jump straight to the track or playlist you want to hear, and best of all, the app is now free.
Of course, you still get all the benefits of the app. The great looks and beautiful photos that Noon Pacific chooses for its playlists, and the ability to open the left sidebar and go back through all the old playlists of the service are all there. The app even handles losing your internet connection well and caches the song you were playing to keep the music going even when your connection is dropped. If you are still offline, it will wait for the service to return and resume where it left off in the playlist.
I tested the new app while the Noon Pacific team worked on it and it is a big improvement over the previous version. Combined with the fact that it is now free and there is no reason not to check it out.
