As with any application, you only need to submit it once, so here’s what you can do to reduce the likelihood of your passport being denied due to your photo.
- Look natural , from your smile to your outfit and even to the amount of makeup you put on in a photo, strive to look the way you would on a day-to-day basis, not more dressy.
- Don’t wear glasses . Photographs with glasses will not be accepted after November 1, 2016.
- Use a white or cream background and keep the background simple and flat.
- Submit a photo taken in the last six months . If you’ve recently cut your hair, use a photo of your new hair.
- Do not wear headphones or visible wireless devices in the photo.
