Watch a Live Stream of the Google Hardware Event “Made by Google” Right Here
Today Google is announcing a range of hardware under the new “Made by Google” banner. Gone is last year’s Nexus program. If you need a front row seat to perform, you can watch it here.
The event kicks off today at 12:00 PM ET / 9:00 AM PT and you can watch it live on YouTube, inserted above . Google’s hardware event this year is slightly different from previous years. First, Google actually advertises this . The company has been behind the scenes overhauling its hardware division, and it looks like we can expect Google to be more practical about its products in the future.
Google is expected to announce several new products today as part of this hardware promotion, including:
- No secret Pixel phones (rumored to replace the Nexus brand).
- Google Home, Google’s answer to Amazon Echo.
- Daydream VR, an Android based virtual reality platform.
- Updated Chromecast Ultra with 4K support
- Google Wi-Fi , another Google router .
Many of them were announced on Google I / O earlier this year , so there is nothing surprising about them. There are other rumors about new announcements, such as Andromeda OS , which will supposedly merge Android and Chrome into one mega-operating system to manage them all. We’ll see later which rumors remain valid and which ones we’ll have to wait.
