States With the Happiest Workers in America
Where you live can have a huge impact on how happy you are with your career. The illustration above shows where you are most likely to find extremely happy employees and where you are least likely to find people.
This chart was created by Sokanu Career Opening Platform, which offers a career test here . Surprisingly, states with many high-profile career centers such as New York and California rank somewhere in the middle on the happiness scale. Hawaii leads (unsurprisingly), followed by West Virginia and Maine. The five lower states are New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Washington, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
The chart also provides an indication of the jobs that offer the most and least satisfying career options. It’s pretty intuitive though. Filmmakers, choreographers, and video game designers have high levels of satisfaction, while debt collectors, lab technicians, and telemarketers are not so happy.
