Android: When you receive an Android update on your phone, your apps may not be ready for the new version yet. AppChecker helps you find out which Android version your apps are targeting.
When creating applications, Android developers can choose the “target” version of Android they want to achieve. This usually means that it is compatible with that version and backward compatible with everything below it. However, if there are any new features emerging, targeting a lower version indicates that the app is not ready to support those features (at least in the way that Google wants it to). So, for example, an app targeting Android Marshmallow might not use the system-wide list of blocked numbers introduced in Android Nougat .
