Transform the Suction Cup and Hair Rubber Into a Simple Shower Storage
There are many temporary ways to add volume to your shower, from installing a second shower bar to installing hooks to hang your cases on . But if you don’t want to bring special accessories with you, use a suction cup and a hair rubber to make it easier to store bottles, cleaning products and sponges.
If you don’t already have extra suction cups and hair ties, they are much cheaper than most home solutions, and you can probably get them all at your local dollar store. You will need one suction cup and a hair tie (or thick elastic) per bottle. This works with just about any bottle, including shaving cream, and keeps them off the floor or out of the corner of the tub.
Pull one end of the hair tie through the hole in the lip of the suction cup until a loop is large enough to thread the other end of the hair tie through. Tighten the loop by pulling on the end of the hair tie. Attach a suction cup to the shower wall and thread the bottle through a hair tie. The hair tie should rest around the middle of the bottle for better balance. Just make sure you have a secure seal on the suction cup because when it – and the bottle – gets wet, you don’t want it to slip and fall.
