Add Google Calendar Events Directly From Your Chrome Address Bar
Adding events to Google Calendar is easy enough , and you can even do it from your email. If you’re using Chrome, there is another way to quickly add events right from the address bar .
How-To Geek guides you through the process that involves creating a new search engine in your Chrome settings. You add a name and shortcut for the new search engine and then copy the users’ calendar url for new events:
http://www.google.com/calendar/event?ctext=+%s+&action=TEMPLATE&pprop=HowCreated%3AQUICKADD
From there, you can simply type your shortcut in the address bar, then type in your event with the time and date, and then hit Enter. You still need to save it to Calendar, but that saves you having to go to Google Calendar to get started. For the full shortcut, head over to the How-To Geek post below.
