Make a Homemade Cookie and Bread Warmer From a Rice Bag
Nothing beats a warm biscuit straight out of the oven . If you want them to stay warm and tasty throughout your meal, try this simple DIY solution.
Covering the biscuits with a cloth or towel helps keep a little heat, but no matter what, it will cool down after a few minutes. This is why Lisa Friedman of The Kitchn invites you to use a homemade rice bag basket. Line the basket or bowl with a cloth or tea towel first. Then fill a cloth bag or clean sock with rice and place it in the microwave for about a minute to get nice and warm. Now put the rice bag in a basket or bowl, put a paper towel and fill it with freshly baked cookies. Add another cloth or tea towel on top and you’ve got a cookie that stays warm until dessert.
